Explore our open, searchable database of materials supporting language learning and teaching. All our resources are evidence-based and underpinned by peer-reviewed research. We especially draw on the recommendations of the ‘Review of MFL Pedagogy’ when creating materials.
Please note: whilst we continue to make improvements to the NCELP Resource Portal, resource collections are still available on the Resource Portal transition page.
MODERN FOREIGN LANGUAGE PEDAGOGY REVIEW
Read the results and the recommendations published in the Teaching Schools Council’s ‘Review of MFL Pedagogy. NCELP is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) to take forward these recommendations and implement them in schools.
GAMING GRAMMAR: GAMES FOR TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGE GRAMMAR
Many people find learning grammar a bit dull or difficult, particularly if they are learning grammar in a new language like French, Spanish or German. We are working with Digital Creativity Labs to make learning grammar a bit more fun through a digital game.
OPEN ACCESSIBLE SUMMARIES IN LANGUAGE STUDIES
OASIS is a searchable database of one-page, non-technical summaries of peer-reviewed research into language learning and teaching. Materials held on our NCELP Resource Portal link to relevant summaries on OASIS.
