This two-part CPD session aims to bring Teacher Educators together with their networks of Initial Teacher Trainees, in-school Mentors, Heads of Department and Early Career Teachers in order to firstly provide an introduction to NCELP and secondly to explore teaching KS3 with the new GCSE in view

Part One
NCELP alignment with the Early Career Framework & Core Content Framework
In this first introductory session, Teacher Educators along with their networks will explore NCELP alignment with the first 6 areas of the Early Career Framework and includes:
- a detailed look at the NCELP Schemes of Work
- a review of individual lesson resources
- adaptive teaching
- assessment
Part Two
Towards the new French, German and Spanish GCSE
This follow-up session offers Teacher Educators and their networks an opportunity to explore the implications of the new GCSE for teaching now at KS3 (and soon at KS4), looking in particular at:
- an overview of the new GCSE Subject Content
- its implications for teaching and assessment
- practical steps we can take now to prepare at KS3 (and soon at KS4).
